We celebrated the 40th anniversary of Angela Carter’s groundbreaking work ‘The Bloody Chamber’ with a dramatised reading of it’s most famous story ‘The Company of Wolves’ by Andrew Bate & Stephanie Hazel.

Upon its release in 1979, the book won The Cheltenham Prize at that year’s Cheltenham Literature Festival, so it was fitting that this reading was performed at the Lit Crawl at Cheltenham Literature Festival 2019.
Starring Stephanie Hazel as Red & Andrew Bate as Wolf.
‘In the Company of Wolves’ was performed at the Bottle of Sauce in the heart of Cheltenham.
Thanks to Catherine Frowd Photography for capturing the evening.
